This might have been the most fun session I’ve ever done! This little guy was slow to warm up to the idea of me taking his picture but his mom suggested he do his dinosaur roar for me. In response, I did my best dinosaur roar for him. I guess I overdid it because he looked a little scared. I toned it down and did my best dinosaur walk complete with my tail (arm) trailing behind me knocking over whatever got in my way. He LOVED it. As soon my dinosaur “tail” almost knocked over daddy, little man was laughing so hard he was almost crying. His huge laugh made me laugh over and over. And the beauty of it was that he never got tired of the dinosaur. It worked for an HOUR of smiles. Poor daddy had to get knocked over about a hundred times but he was a good sport about it. Actually, I think mom and dad laughed just as hard as the little guy, his laugh and smile was truly entertaining!
I can tell you that the smiles you see here are all genuine, these three have fun together. A few comments here and there really let me know mom and dad LOVE being parents. Taking family photos is stressful for many people and I’ve seen parents get upset because their kids aren’t cooperating or they get dirty or make silly faces. I get it, we all want that perfect photo. But this family was relaxed and happy as we walked through this glorious property. They had fun with their little guy and I think we got great pics because they were themselves; I was able to capture a few natural moments. I loved this session and I truly hope to do my dinosaur walk again soon with this little guy.
